2012: Scored two goals less than seven minutes apart in the first half and the Retrievers held on for a 2-1 win over Robert Morris on Sept. 1... Earned America East Player of the Week honors on Sept. 2… Racked up four goals and two assists and led the Retrievers to a 1-1 week, picking up his second Player of the Week award on Oct. 15… After scoring once in a 2-1 loss to Albany on Oct. 10, he exploded for three goals and two assists in UMBC's 5-1 win over Boston U. on Oct. 13, its first conference victory of the year…Caringi's three scores all came during a 13-minute stretch in the second half… Caringi’s hat trick was the first for a Retriever since Levi Houapeu tallied three goals vs. Vermont on Oct. 27, 2010… Tied the Division I school record for goals in a game with four on Oct. 23 vs. Hartford… He is the first player in UMBC DI history and was the only player in the nation in 2012 to post a pair of eight-point games in a season… His eight-point games were the first by an America East player since Stony Brook's Chris Megaloudis accomplished the feat on Sept. 11, 2005 and first in a conference game since Vermont's Matt Chavez had eight (4 goals) on Oct. 4, 2003 against Boston U…. 2011: In the summer, recorded a hat-trick for his Baltimore Bays Chelsea side vs. Texas SC at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Under-17/18 playoffs in Browns Summit, N.C….Finished the college season tied for fifth in assists per game and tied for ninth in total points in the America East Conference… Led the Retrievers in total points (13) and was tied for the club lead with a pair of game-winning goals…Scored his first goal of the season in the 52nd minute to tie the game vs. No. 1 Maryland at 1-all on Spet. 13… Posted his first game-winner and initial three-point effort of the season and at Longwood on Sept. 24… One week later, he also recorded a goal (game-tying) and an assist (on GWG) in the second half in the 2-1 win over Albany in the conference opener… Continued his strong play in the league with the lone helper on Kingsley Onwuka’s score in a 1-0 victory at Boston U. (Oct. 8) and converted a penalty kick in the 41st minute in a 1-0 victory at Binghamton on Oct. 11… Is UMBC’s active career goals leader with 10 and is tied with Milo Kapor with 10 career assists.
