Perry, N.Y. – UMBC midfielder Zach Linkous (Jarrettsville, Md./St. Paul's) has been selected to compete in the 2014 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association/Lax World North-South Division I-II College All-Star game.
The game will be played on Monday, May 26 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. at 10:00 a.m., just prior to the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse national championship game.
Linkous earned four letters with the Retrievers and competed in 54 games as an offensive midfielder. He amassed 36 goals and added 16 assists during his tenure. The sociology major was named to the America East All-Rookie Team in 2011 and scored a career-high 16 goals the following spring.
Linkous attended St. Paul's High School in Baltimore, where he lettered in lacrosse and football. His sister Meghan earned four letters in lacrosse for UMBC from 2008-2011.
UMBC has now sent at least one player to the North-South game in 15 of the past 17 seasons.
