2013: Started the first four games of the campaign… In the Feb. 23 home opener vs. Rutgers, made 12 of his season-high 13 saves, and allowed only five goals in the final 45 minutes as UMBC defeated RU, 11-7… Saw relief duty in regular season contest vs. Vermont and America East title game… Amassed 243 saves in his four-year tenure.

 

2012: Reclaimed the starting goalkeeper position and started all 13 games during the season… Finished third in America East in saves per game (9.77) and fourth in save percentage (.469) and goals against average (11.38)… The netminder became the first UMBC Division I goalkeeper to score a goal as he netted the Retrievers’ final goal of the game with 1:39 remaining in the fourth quarter in an 11-7 victory at Rutgers… Made seven fourth-quarter saves vs. the Knights (14 overall) to lead UMBC to the victory… Starred in the fourth quarter in the 8-7 victory over Maryland on March 6, stopping six Terrapin shots on goal and allowing only one score in the fourth period… Made a season/career-high of 15 saves in games vs. back-to-back games vs. Loyola (March 24) and Hartford (March 31).

 

2011: Competed in three games during the season, starting contests vs. Johns Hopkins and Maryland… Relieved Brian McCullough in the second half on Feb. 26 vs. Rutgers… Caused two turnovers in 30 minutes of work… Made a season-high 11 saves against the Blue Jays.

 
 
 

2010: Wrested the starting goalkeeper position from returners Kevin Kohri and Brian McCullogh in the eighth game of the season at Towson on April 7 and started the remaining six contests… Posted an 8.76 goals-against average, which led all America East netminders and was the 17th-best figure in the country… After playing the second half and overtimes vs. Delaware in the opener, earned the start at Rutgers on Feb. 28 and got credit for the win with six saves and five goals allowed in 60 minutes of work… Also started the March 6 game vs. UNC… Recorded a season-high 12 saves in the contest at Towson… Posted nine stops in the 12-7 April 17 victory over Albany… Collected a season-best four ground balls in games against the Tigers and Great Danes.

 

 

Background: Majoring in business technology administration... Ranked as one of the top 15 incoming goalkeepers by Inside Lacrosse… A 2009 Ensign C. Markland Kelly Award finalist… A team captain in his senior year for the Admirals...
