Fox 1370 Sports Radio will broadcast nine regular season and all postseason action of UMBC men’s lacrosse in the 2011 season.
In addition, the Don Zimmerman UMBC Lacrosse Show will return for its second season on Fox 1370. The show will air for eight weeks on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. beginning on March 10. Paul Mittermeier will host the program which is taped before a live audience at Gianni’s Italian Bistro in Arbutus at 1:00 p.m. that afternoon.

The first broadcast will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26 when UMBC opens the home schedule vs. Rutgers on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 1:00 p.m. The next broadcast will emanate from M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, March 12, as UMBC takes on Johns Hopkins University in the Konica-Minolta Face Off Classic. The opening face-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
Other regular season broadcasts include games at Maryland (March 18, 8:00 p.m.), vs. Quinnipiac (March 26, 3:30 p.m.), at Stony Brook (April 2, 7:00 p.m.), vs. Towson (April 6, 7:30 p.m.), at Albany (April 16, 7:00 p.m.), vs. Vermont (April 23, 1:00 p.m.) and at Hartford (April 30, 7:00 p.m.).
The America East Tournament opens on Wednesday, May 5. The pre-game shows starts 10 minutes before the opening draw with the broadcast crew of Gary Stein, Steve Levy and Kevin Gibbons O’Neill.
Two Retriever games will air on WMAR-TV and simulcast on espn3. com. UMBC’s contest at Maryland and a home game vs. Binghamton (Saturday, April 9) will air on WMAR, while the UMBC vs. Johns Hopkins contest will be broadcast on espn3.com.
