UMBC and Johns Hopkins played in both the 1983 and 1984 seasons and renewed the rivalry in 2005. The two schools have played each year since, with the Blue Jays visiting UMBC Stadium in 2007 and 2009. Last season, Johns Hopkins won a 16-10 decision at Homewood Field, but three of the six meetings since 2005 have been decided by three goals or less. Johns Hopkins has won all eight meetings in the series.
