ANOTHER TESTA ADDED TO THE STAFF
7/26/2002
UMBC's men's and women's lacrosse programs have added assistant coaches to their full-time staffs. On the men's side, Don Zimmerman has appointed former Johns Hopkins standout Brandon Testa ('01), while women's mentor Monica Yeakel has tabbed Mike Faith as her full-time assistant. Testa joins his older brother Jarred (Hofstra, '98), who enters his third season on the Retriever staff. Brandon was a three-time All American (1999, 2000, 2001) defenseman for the Blue Jays and captain in his senior season. After graduation, he followed in his brother's footsteps by serving as an assistant coach at the United States Merchant Marine Academy last season. The Bethpage, New York native is a current member of the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse, and was a member of its 2001 championship squad. Brandon is expected to lend his expertise on the defensive side of the field.
