Men's Lacrosse To Host Stony Brook Saturday Night for America East Title

    The UMBC men’s lacrosse team will compete in its fourth consecutive America East Conference title game when the top-seeded Retrievers (11-3) host second-seeded Stony Brook (9-5) on Saturday, May 2 at UMBC Stadium. The 11th-ranked Retrievers won titles in 2006 and 2008 when the title game was played in Baltimore and fell, 15-14 in the 2007 championship game in Albany. 20th-ranked Stony Brook, which shared the regular season title with UMBC, is makng their first appearance in the title game since 2005 and are gunning for their first title since 2002. Opening face-off is set for 7:30 p.m. The game can be heard on Fox 1370 Sports Radio and video streaming is available on www.americaeast.com.
