Poll
Men's Soccer was picked third in the America East preseason poll. How do you think they will fare in 2010?
They will exceed expectations and capture a regular season and/or tournament title.
Meet expectations; earn a playoff spot, but not have the juice to win a championship.
The league could "stand on its head" again this year, but the lower ranked teams rising above the preseason favorites. Retrievers might be in danger of having the bubble burst.

—Seniors midfielders Terry Kimener (Oakton, Va.) and Taylor Marino (Baltimore, Md.) have been selected to play in the 67th Annual USILA North/South Senior All-Star Lacrosse Game.  The contest will take place at Harvard Stadium on Friday, May 23rd as part of a triple header. The Division III game will be played at 2:00 p.m. and the Division I/II game will be played at 4:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with the Boston Cannons game vs. the Rochester Rattlers at 7:00 p.m.

Kimener was the 2007 America East Conference Player of the Year and the Most Outstanding Player in the league championships. He finished his career as the second-highest scoring midfielder in school history with 71 goals and 63 assists for 134 points. Marino has been UMBC’s primary face-off specialist for the last three seasons and keyed league titles in 2006 and 2008, as he earned America East All Championship team honors in both seasons. He won 445 draws in his career, just five shy of Ray Ignacio’s school record of 450.

Notes: Fourteen Retrievers have competed in the All-Star Classic since 1998… This is the first time since 2003 that a pair of UMBC players will compete for the south squad… Current assistant coach Tim Flanagan (goalkeeper) and LSM Greg Wojtech were selected five years ago… Kimener will wear jersey No. 15 and Marino will don No. 19.
