Men's Lacrosse Faces America East Showdown With Albany at UMBC Stadium Saturday Evening; Contest to Benefit Lacrosse for Autism

The ninth-ranked UMBC men’s lacrosse team will host America East rival
The contest is sponsored by Lacrosse for Autism with portions of the ticket proceeds benefiting

The game will feature a pair of fierce rivals who have won the last two America East Conference titles and both advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals last season. UMBC, (7-3, 2-0 America East) which won the league’s automatic bid in 2006, (7-3) has won six straight games entering the evening contest. Albany (5-5, 2-0), which nipped the Retrievers, 15-14 in last season’s league titlegame to claim the conference tournament crown, is on a five-game winning streak after a 15-4 victory over Yale on Tuesday.
