Ratcliffe Earns Fourth America East Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week Honor

Freshman attackman Cayle Ratcliffe (Victoria, B.C./Western Reserve) has been named America East Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Ratcliffe produced his seventh consecutive multi-goal game with a hat trick in the 13-5 win over Stony Brook. Ratcliffe leads the team with 31 goals and was the fourth-leading freshman goal scorer in the country entering the week. His 31 goals is the second-most for a Retriever freshman in UMBC’s NCAA Division I (1981) era.
 
He is 16th in the nation with 2.38 goals per game (3rd in America East) and earned his third and fourth Rookie of the Week awards in the last two weeks. Ratcliffe’s 31 goals is the second-most for a Retriever freshman in UMBC’s Division I era (1981). He has scored multiple goals in seven consecutive games and has converted 57.4% (31/54) of his shots...50 percent (Tim Stecher, 19/38, 1989) is the current school record.
