Men's Lacrosse Opens America East Slate at Second-Ranked and Undefeated Albany

3/29/2007

  • UMBC at Albany ('07)

It's a new rivalry, but a good one. The UMBC men's lacrosse team visits red-hot Albany on Saturday for the sixth time in just the four seasons as members in the America East Conference. The Retrievers (4-3) are ranked 20th in the USILA Coaches' poll and 16th in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse poll, while the 8-0 Great Danes are 2nd and 4th respectively. Face-off time at John Fallon Field is set for noon.

UMBC has won four of five meetings, but the first four meetings were all decided by a single goal and this will be just the Retrievers' second-ever visit to Albany.
