Men's Lacrosse Falls at Maryland, 11-7

Junior midfielder Terry Kimener led the UMBC effort with three goals and an assist. Senior Drew Westervelt scored a goal and added a pair of assists, while sophomore midfielder Alex Hopmann notched a pair of goals.

The Terrapins outscored UMBC, 4-0 in the third quarter, but the Retrievers continued to fight and turned the tables, scoring four unanswered goals in the fourth. Westervelt made it 11-7 on a goal with 2:02 to play and UMBC had an extra-man opportunity, but two Retriever attempts were saved and the Terps won their eighth straight game over UMBC.
Shots in the game were even at 29-all, as UMBC enjoyed a 15-3 margin in the fourth period. UMBC sophomore netminder Jeremy Blevins made 10 saves in 60 minutes of action. The Retrievers won 12 of 20 draws, with all the wins credited to junior Taylor Marino.
UMBC returns to action next Sunday when they entertain
