FRESHMAN NICK FATSEAS NAMED AMERICA EAST MEN'S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Freshman attackman Nick Fatseas (Owings, Md./DeMatha) was named America East Conference Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 20, 2005. Fatseas is earning more playing time on UMBC’s potent attack unit and led the Retrievers with his first collegiate three-goal effort vs. #4 Maryland on Saturday. He took a team high 7 shots and put all 7 on net. Fatseas’  final goal of the day occurred on the man-up unit, which scored 4 times in 7 chances vs. the Terrapins. He has posted back-to-back 3-point games after a 2-goal, 1-assist day vs. Canisius on March 12.
