UMBC won its third of four America East contests as they defeated Quinnipiac, 12-7 in America East Conference play on Saturday in Hamden, Conn. The loss drops the Bobcats record to 1-8 (0-2 America East), while the Retrievers improve to 4-4 (3-1 America East).

UMBC got the game started by scoring four consecutive goals, including two by Drew Westervelt.
