MEN'S LACROSSE ANNOUNCES 2004 SCHEDULE

The UMBC men’s lacrosse team will play six teams ranked in the pre-season Top Twenty, in addition to its first America East Conference schedule in the 2004 season.

The Retrievers open the campaign on Saturday, February 28, when they travel to #9 Duke (Inside Lacrosse Coaches’ pre-season poll). Then, UMBC opens a five-game homestand with #17 Ohio State on Saturday, March 6,  faces off against Hartford in the America East opener on Saturday, March 13, and hosts #5 Maryland on Saturday, March 20. WMAR-TV will feature the Retrievers over the next two weeks, as UMBC entertains Delaware (Saturday, March 27) and defending America East champion Albany (Saturday, April 3).

UMBC also takes on #8 North Carolina in Chapel Hill on April 17, renews its rival with #13 Loyola at UMBC Stadium on Wednesday April 21, and travels across the beltway to #10 Towson on Tuesday, April 27. The regular season concludes with a May 1 America East game at Vermont, before the top four teams in the conference open the league playoffs (four teams) at the higher seed on Wednesday, May 5. The America East Championship game is set for Saturday, May 8 at the highest remaining seed.
