2012: Finished fourth on the squad with 24 ground balls… Competed in all 13 games as a long-stick defensive middie… Also caused six turnovers and tallied two goals and an assist… Posted his first collegiate point, an assist, vs. Robert Morris in the opener on Feb. 18… Led the Retrievers with a career-best five ground balls in the victory at Rutgers on Feb. 26… Scored his first collegiate goal at Vermont on April 7 and added a score vs. Albany on April 21.

2011: Long-stick defensive midfielder appeared in all 13 games for the Retrievers in his initial campaign… Recorded nine ground balls and caused four turnovers… Debuted with two ground balls and two CT’s at Presbyterian on Feb. 19… Added two ground balls in the triumph over Towson on April 6.

Background: Attempting to double major in economics and psychology... Competed in the 2009 Under Armour Underclassmen All-America contest for the Midwest squad… Named First-Team All-Midwest in both 2008 and 2009 and helped the Pioneers to the 2009 MSLCA title… Played box lacrosse with the Coquitlam Adanacs and was the assistant captain of Team British Columbia in Box Lacrosse Nationals… Considered other Division I institutions, but selected UMBC "because it just seemed like a perfect fit academically and athletically; I love to win and I believe I can do that here at UMBC"… Has an older brother, Adam, who is 23 and a junior on the ice hockey team at New England College… Also has a younger brother Erik, who is 19… Son of Sharon and Kevin Klein… Born May 20, 1991.
