2008: Emerged as a contributor on the man down unit, appearing in 13 games during the campaign… Collected six ground balls and competed aggressively when called upon.

 

2007: Excellent athlete who competed in three contests last season and will battle for more extensive playing time in ’08.

 

Background: Majoring in economics... The National District Player of the Year in 2006… also earned All-State and All-Region honors… As a junior, he broke the record for most points by a long-stick midfielder in the county… A three-time First-Team All-National District honoree… His Mount Vernon team won seven consecutive titles… Selected UMBC because of “its great academics and competition on the lacrosse field as well as the coaching staff making me feel right at home upon my visit”… Is interested in becoming a sports agent… Brother Tucker played lacrosse at C..W. Post… Also has an older sister, Kelley… Enjoys the music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers… Son of Arlene and Ed Ophof… Born Jan. 3, 1988.
