2009: Competed in 11 games in his initial season and was a member of the man-up unit for the majority of the campaign… Both of his goals were scored in man-up situations… Scored his first collegiate goal in the home debut vs. Rutgers on Feb. 21… His other goal was a key extra-man score in the 9-7 win at Maryland on March 14… Recorded assists vs. Delaware (Feb. 14), Johns Hopkins (March 3) and Stony Brook (March 28)… Wore No. 16 in his first season.

 

Background: Earned First-Team All-County honors as he competed for the first Spalding team to earn a playoff berth in the MIAA “A” Conference… Also named to The Baltimore Examiner’s All-county First Team in 2008… Coached by former Retriever defenseman Zach Burke… A C. Markland Kelly Award finalist… Scored six goals and added an assist in a 2008 win over Boys’ Latin… A Second-Team All-County honoree in 2006 and 2007… Selected UMBC “because of the tradition of lacrosse, great coaching and family-like atmosphere”… The oldest of four siblings… Considering a career in law… Enjoys drawing… Son of Kathy and Richard May… Born Dec. 29, 1989.
