2009: Competed in seven games in his first collegiate season… Scored his first career goal in a 13-4 victory over Binghamton on April 4… Recorded six shots… Wore No. 42 as a freshman.
 
Background: Majoring in computer science... Produced a pair of outstanding seasons in 2007 and 2008 for the Stags… Earned the Most Improved Player Award and was a WCAC All-League honorable mention selection in his junior campaign… Elevated to Second-Team All-WCAC and was the team’s offensive Most Valuable Player in 2008… Also named MVP of the 2008 Royal Palms Tournament… Collected five goals and added an assist in the 2008 championship game victory over Good Counsel… Also lettered in football… Selected UMBC over other Division I institutions “because I like the environment, the team is fun and the coaches made me feel at home”… Has a younger brother, Andrew, who is 16… Son of Lori and Jerry Ryznar… Born Oct. 6, 1990.
