AT UMBC: Competed in eleven games last year, starting two at midfield vs. Georgetown and Penn State...recorded a pair of assists vs. the Hoyas, including one on the extra-man...scored his first collegiate goal (on the extra-man) at U. Mass and also hit the nets vs. Stony Brook. BACKGROUND: Quick attackman who had an excellent prep career on the lacrosse field and the hockey rink…was named Second Team All New England and earned a spot in the New England East Senior All-Star team…was the leading scorer on the Adirondack Empire State team in 2000 and earned Albany Academy’s Best Offensive Player honors in both his junior and senior years…as a sophomore, the Cadets were ranked 15th in the nation…on the ice, his squad went to the Division II New England prep championships and he was invited to the New York Select 15, 16, and 17 squads…would like to become a teacher…an admirer of Tony Hawk, who revolutionized skateboarding, but who is also noted for his charitable work and commitment to family…enjoys cycling and mountain biking…son of Kim and Robert Tomczak…born February 13, 1983.
