Gained valuable playing experience last season...had to make the big adjustment from high school to the rigors of Division I lacrosse...was converted from attack to midfield during the spring of 2002 and is slated to remain there this season. AT UMBC: Competed in 11 of 12 games last season, starting a couple of early season contests...recorded an assist in the opener vs. Navy...scored his first collegiate goal in the 15-9 win over Army...his other assist occured vs. Towson. BACKGROUND: Compiled a brilliant prep career, and was called “the best overall offensive player in the history of Cape lacrosse” by the Cape Gazette…amassed 138 career goals and 163 assists in his career, including a pair of 100 point seasons…led the Cape to a state title and the Vikings were 63-10 in his tenure…a First Team All State selection and a 2001 US Lacrosse All American…also The Delaware News Journal’s Player of the Year…a Second Team All Conference honoree as a senior quarterback for the Vikings…lists best performance as a 4-goal, 7-assist effort vs. Sanford…father, Scott, was a quarterback for the Delaware Blue Hens…a fan of musical artist Tim McGraw and the book, The Perfect Storm…enjoys surfing and skiing…son of G.
