	Pat Tracy
	Position: Assistant Coach 3rd Year at UMBC Alma Mater: Goucher College

Pat Tracy was named assistant men's lacrosse coach at UMBC in the summer of 2007. He has worked with the UMBC defense for two seasons and the Retrievers ended the 2009 campaign ranked 14th in the country in total defense

Tracy, a Baltimore native, served as an assistant at Dartmouth in 2007, where he worked with the goalkeepers, broke down and analyzed all opponent game film, recruited prospective student-athletes and assisted with all other aspects of the Big Green program. Prior to his experience in Hanover, N.H., Tracy spent two years at his alma mater, Goucher (Md.) College, as an assistant coach from 2004-06.

He also spent parts of two years in Texas as a head coach of the Texas Development Lacrosse Program, working in Dallas in 2005 and Houston in 2006.

“We are very fortunate to have Pat Tracy join the UMBC coaching staff,” Zimmerman said.  “Coach Tracy has proven himself to be a hard working, diligent young coach in both his preparation skills as well as his ability to relate to his players on the field.”

Tracy was a four-year starter on attack, spending his first two years (1999-2000) at Ohio State University, before completing his bachelor’s degree in history at Goucher (2003-04). He was an All Capital Athletic Conference attackman for the Gophers and finished in the top ten in scoring in the country in 2004. He was a prep standout at the St. Paul’s (Md.) School, earning All Metro honors in 1998, when he broke the single-season goal record at the school.

Tracy is also the founder of the Granite (N.H.) Lacrosse Club (2006) and served as a camp coordinator for the Crease Ranch Lacrosse Camps in Houston and Colorado Springs, Colo. in the summers of 2005 and 2006.
