2008: Saw action in 12 contests, including each of the last six games… Posted his third career goal vs. Hartford on April 18.

 

2007: Worked his way onto the second midfield unit midway through the campaign… Scored his first collegiate goal in the America East title game at Albany… Also produced his first multiple-point game as he added an assist in that contest… Competed in nine games.

 

2006: Played in 14 of 15 games and earned a regular position on the second midfield unit… Recorded his first collegiate point, an assist in the victory over Hartford… Collected a pair of ground balls.

 

Background: Majoring in American studies...  A highly decorated player from the D.C. area… Earned All WCAC honors in his final three seasons and served as Good Counsel’s captain in 2004 and 2005… Before concentrating solely on lacrosse, had also captained freshman and junior varsity football and basketball teams for the Falcons… Lists best prep performance as a three-goal, three-assist effort vs. DeMatha in the 2005 WCAC quarter-finals… Suffered a broken collarbone in October of 2004 and endured three surgeries since that time, but managed to play his entire senior season… Selected UMBC over other Division I offers “because the coaches seemed more like coaches to the players than at other schools and the players look out for each other at UMBC”… Has a younger brother, Matt, who is 18… Son of Ly and Robert Burch.
