The former UMBC goalkeeping standout returns to his alma mater to work on a volunteer basis with the goalkeepers.

Flanagan competed at UMBC in 2002 and 2003 and recorded 264 saves, currently the 11th-best figure in school history. The Baltimore native grad was named a team captain in both of his playing seasons. He started every game during the 2003 campaign, posting a solid 9.76 goals against average and 58.9 save percentage. The Archbishop Curley grad was a Second Team All American in his final season (2000) at CCBC-Essex.

Flanagan earned his degree in information systems.
