2006: Produced a brilliant sophomore campaign, earning (Honorable Mention) All America honors… he is the first UMBC sophomore to earn All America honors since Chris Turner achieved the award in 1997… a First Team All America East midfielder… was the fourth (tied) leading scoring midfielder in the nation with 41 points… scored four points or more in the final four games prior to the NCAA Tournament… scored three of UMBC’s six goals in the America East semi-final win over Binghamton… added two goals and two assists in the title game vs. Albany… scored four goals in the last two regular season games vs. Vermont and Stony Brook…added an assist vs. the Seawolves for a career-high five points… had a career-high three assists in three separate contests, including the game at Johns Hopkins… also had a three-goal game the regular season game vs. Albany.
2005: Produced a solid freshman campaign and displayed the potential to develop into an outstanding two-way midfielder…saw action in all 15 games and contributed three goals, four assists and 24 ground balls…used at defensive midfield, face off midfield and offensive midfield at times during the campaign…scored his first collegiate goal at Johns Hopkins, bringing UMBC to within 7-6 in the fourth quarter…also had three ground balls in that game…had a season high five ground balls in the 11-5 win over Vermont…scored goal vs. Hartford and Quinnipiac…posted assists in each of the last four games.
Background: A two-time First Team All Region and Honorable Mention All State midfielder…part of an Oakton squad which won the state title in 2003…scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in the regional championship vs. Robinson, including a goal with 3 seconds left to send the game into overtime…also lettered in football in 2001 and 2002 and earned a trip to the state championships in his final season…attended Bridgton Academy (Maine) in 2003…considered several Top 20 programs, but selected UMBC [because] “it was the best fit for me…all the guys here are so cool”…has three brothers and two sisters…nicknamed “The Train”…majoring in American Studies…son of Carol and John Kimener…born December 1, 1984.
