2006: A mid-season hand injury curtailed his first season for the Retrievers… earned a regular slot on the second midfield to start the campaign… scored his first collegiate goal in the home opener vs. Air Force… added a goal late in the campaign at Binghamton and an assist in the next game vs. Vermont… took 11 shots and recorded three ground balls.

 

Background: A true “late-comer” to the sport of lacrosse…did not begin competing until age 16…spent a year at Bridgton (Me.) Academy (2003), then competed during the 2004 season for Hartwick…scored 13 goals and added eight assists during his lone campaign for the Hawks…competed at Essex CC last season and help Brian Duncan’s team to the junior college national title game…earned two letters in lacrosse at Saratoga Springs and was a first-team Section II All Star as a senior…played in Section II North/South Senior All-Star game at Union College…enjoys snowboarding and is a fan of the New York Jets…considering a major in Economics…has a brother, Jared, 18…son of Kathleen and Anthony Porcell…born April 6, 1984.
