Background: Named to 2005 US Lacrosse Boys All America squad…earned First Team All (Baltimore) County honors and All Division honors in both his junior and senior seasons…lists his best performance in a game as a four-goal, two-assist effort against McDonough…earned varsity letters in all four years at Catonsville and was a freshman on the state semi-final squad…also lettered in football for the Comets, earning Second Team All County honors and rushing for 1,050 yards as a junior…named to school’s honor roll in six of his last eight quarters of high school…has come back from two surgeries on his left knee…selected UMBC over other Division I offers because “of the amount of attention [UMBC] paid to me during the recruiting process”…has three siblings, Ron, Jr., 21, Tianna, 14, and Dominic, 13…son of Glenda and Ron Gurnsey…born March 14, 1987.
