Background: A highly decorated player from the D.C. area…earned All WCAC honors in his final three seasons and served as Good Counsel’s captain in 2004 and 2005…before concentrating solely on lacrosse, had also captained freshman and junior varsity football and basketball teams for the Falcons…lists best prep performance as a three-goal, three-assist effort vs. DeMatha in the 2005 WCAC quarter-finals…suffered a broken collarbone in October of 2004 and endured three surgeries since that time, but managed to play his entire senior season…selected UMBC over other Division I offers “because the coaches seemed more like coaches to the players than at other schools…and the players look out for each other at UMBC”…has a younger brother, Matt, 16…son of Ly and Robert Burch.
