Background: A relative newcomer to the game…did not compete until age 14, but rose to earn All State honors (Portland Press) in 2003… was also a First Team All Conference selection by that publication in 2002 and 2003…part of state title teams for Cape Elizabeth High School in 2000, 2002 (16-0 record), and 2003…produced a SportsCenter highlight in the 2003 title game, as the Capers started overtime man down…Harvey intercepted a pass, went full field, but hit the inside of the post on his shot…recovered to strip the opposition on the defensive end, and made a clearing pass which ended up in the game-winning goal…also lettered in soccer, track & field, and basketball…was the salutatorian at Bridgton Academy with a 3.9 grade point average…considering a major in Economics…has younger siblings, Julie, 13, and Ryan, 6…son of Paula and John Harvey…born October 2, 1984.
