BACKGROUND: Competed for an excellent program at Orchard Park HS…the Quackers made it to the New York State championship game for two consecutive years…members of Olson's senior class are freshmen lacrosse players at Virginia, Duke, and U. Mass…earned the Scholastic Student Athlete Award in all four years of high school competition…also lettered in football…considered other schools, including the Air Force Academy, but decided on UMBC for its "coaching staff, size of the school and location the school"…brother David, 19, played for the Quacker baseball team…is considering a major in Economics and is interested in a career as an investment advisor…lists favorite food as "Buffalo" wings and is a fan of the NFL's Buffalo Bills…son of Karen and Ronald Olson…born July 17, 1984.
