Named one of UMBC’s captains for this spring...displayed good offensive instincts in an increased role last season.
2004-Started 8 of 14 games as a midfielder and developed a proficiency on extra-man...scored 5 of his 6 goals with the man advantage...tallied 5 goals and added 3 assists in the final six games...scored a season-best three points (1g, 2a) at Quinnipiac and produced his first multiple-goal game, a two-goal effort (both extra man scores) vs. Stony Brook...led the regulars by putting 15 of his 19 shots (78.9%) on goal.
2002-03: Matriculated, but did not play in 2001-02...attended classes at CCBC-Catonsville in the fall of 2002, before returning to campus in the spring of 2003.
2001:: Saw action in nine games as a freshman in the 2001 campaign…took 9 shots and recorded 5 ground balls.
BACKGROUND: Competed at DeMatha with alum Matt Gallagher…possesses outstanding speed and good field vision…best prep game was a five-goal, four-assist effort vs. Baltimore's Mt. St. Joseph's HS…also lettered in football for the Stags…selected UMBC "because of its great coaches and team unity"…enjoys the drums and rock jumping…son or Sara and Sabino Solazzo…born April 11, 1982.
