Tough-minded defender who is looking to reprise his role as a close defender in his senior season…earned a Retriever Club Scholarship Award last spring.

 

AT UMBC: Started all 13 games in his junior season at close defense…a physical player who plays sound position defense…recorded 13 ground balls and caused three turnovers…as a sophomore, he played in all 12 contests, starting the first six for the Retrievers on close defense...garnered 11 ground balls and only committed one penalty...saw action in the final two games of the 2001 season and gobbled up a pair of ground balls vs. Maryland.

 

BACKGROUND:  One of three Mount Hebron products on the Retriever roster...did not attend UMBC in the fall 2000 semester...did not begin competing in lacrosse until high school...a fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the movies, Braveheart and Last of the Mohicans...is the youngest of four siblings...son of Pat and Bill Preisinger...born November 10, 1980.
