Named the 2002 team Unsung Hero...a “blue collar” type of midfielder that finds his way onto the field and makes plays. AT UMBC: For the second consectutive year, he played in nine of twelve games, but got on the board in his sophomore season...scored his first collegiate goal in a game vs. Towson...contributed an assist in the win over Army, and capped a 7-0 UMBC second quarter with a rebound goal vs. Stony Brook...won 3 of 8 draws attempted...participated in nine of twelve games in 2001, but an outstanding fall moved him up the depth chart...garnered six ground balls. BACKGROUND: Tremendous athlete who has a rich family tradition in athletics...grandfather, Andy Davis, played football for the Washington Redskins...grandfather, Joe Gallagher coached at St. John’s HS for 44 years...father, Jay, played college basketball at Mt.
