The converted goalkeeper made nine starts at close defense last season and will battle for a starting position in his senior campaign. AT UMBC: Played in all twelve games in 2002 at close defense...garnered 19 ground balls and only committed four fouls in his extended playing time...in 2001, he made the transition from goalkeeper to defender...played as a reserve and on some man-down situations last season...did sub in the goal for a penalized Steve Cusa in the Rutgers game..in 2000, he saw action in four games in the goal as a freshman..played a total of 27 minutes, making three saves and allowing a goal...made three saves, without allowing a goal in ten minutes vs. Stony Brook. BACKGROUND: Earned First Team All State honors in 1999...led the Spartans into the state semi-finals as a junior with a 24-save effort in the quarter-final game...has good size and is an excellent leader...also earned letters in football and basketball...comes from a very sports-oriented family...father, Tom, played lacrosse and football at Delaware, mother, Patti, played field hockey and lacrosse at West Chester, older brother Josh was a Delaware Blue Hen lacrosse player and younger sister, Kayte, plays volleyball and lacrosse at St. Mark’s...considered Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina, but selected UMBC “because their lacrosse team in awesome and I was very impressed by the coaching staff”...enjoys skiing, motorcycles, drawing and cooking...son of Patti and Tom Hall...born May 1, 1981.
