RETRIEVER UPDATE: An undermanned UMBC (0-3) team battled a talented Loyola team tough, but dropped a 73-63 decision to the Greyhounds on Thursday evening. UMBC scored 11 more points than the visitors from the floor, but the Greyhounds outpointed the Retrievers, 31-10, at the charity stripe.

KEYDET UPDATE: The high-flying Keydets opened the season with a 103-100 victory over The Citadel, fell at Air Force, 75-65 and broke away in the second half in Tuesday's 101-74 victory over NAIA member Alice Lloyd (Ky.). Senior guard Keith Gabriel led four players in double figures with 22 points. Six Keydets average in double figures, led by Gabriel's 17.7 ppg. VMI has attempted 99 three-point field goals through three games, converting on 31.

Who's Up Next: UMBC heads to Central Connecticut State VMI for a 7:00 p.m. tilt on Tuesday, Nov. 22 before breaking for the Thanksgiving holiday.
