Men's Basketball Opens Grueling Stretch on the Road at Binghamton on Wednesday

UMBC hits the road for the first time in America East play when they travel to Vestal, N.Y. to take on Binghamton on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 7:00 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on Fox 1370 Sports Radio (www.fox1370.com) with Paul Mittermeier on the call, beginning with the pregame show at 6:55 p.m.

 



RETRIEVER UPDATE: UMBC (1-14, 0-2) allowed 24 second-chance points to visiting Maine on and fell to the Black Bears, 82-67 on Jan. 8. Junior guard Chris De La Rosa (team-high 15.8 ppg) continued his outstanding play with 24 points and eight assists vs, Maine and is averaging 19.6 points and 7.0 assists per game over his last seven outings.

 

BEARCAT UPDATE: Binghamton (5-10, 2-0) will play for the third time in five days when they host the Retrievers, but the Bearcats have come out swinging in league play with wins over UNH (66-61) and Stony Brook (57-50). Binghamton senior forward Moussa Camara scored a career-high 28 points as he shot 7-for-12 from the field, 5-for-9 from behind the arc and 9-for-10 from the free-throw line in the win over the Seawolves. Binghamton held Stony Brook to 29.0 percent shooting from the field, including just 5-for-23 from long range, good for 21.7 percent.

 



Who's Up Next: UMBC has one day at home on Thursday before boarding a plane on Friday and preparing to face Vermont in Burlington on Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m.).
