CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The America East Conference will officially kick off the 2010-11 season on Thursday, Oct. 14, with its third annual Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon at the Connecticut State Capitol building in downtown Hartford. Fans can view live interviews with all of the league’s head coaches. UMBC head men’s coach Randy Monroe will be interviewed at 11 a.m., while women’s coach Phil Stern will appear at 1:50 p.m.

In addition, fans can visit the league’s brand new website on Thursday to view preseason polls and preseason all-conference teams, as well as an exciting announcement regarding the corporate sponsorship of the 2011 America East Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship, which will be held March 3-6 on the University of Hartford’s campus.

Live coaches interviews will be conducted by Eric Frede, who returns for another season as the voice of America East basketball, and will start at 11 a.m.
