Maine Avenges Earlier Loss to Retrievers, Defeats Men's Basketball, 84-63

Baltimore—Sophomore wing Gerald McLemore tied his career high with seven 3-point field goals in a 25-point effort, leading the visiting Maine Black Bears to a 84-63 America East Conference win at UMBC.

Senior wing Matt Spadafora, the Retrievers' America East Player of the Game, led UMBC (2-22, 1-10) with 14 points, but the Retrievers were outrebounded, 47-20.
UMBC scored the game’s first four points, but
Conversely, UMBC misfired on 19 of 28 shots and all nine shots from three-point range in the first 20 minutes.
UMBC sophomore guards Chauncey Gilliam and Chris De La Rosa scored all 10 of their points apiece in second half.
