MASN To Televise Men's Basketball Tilt on Monday at Stony Brook

     UMBC continues its hectic pace as they complete a two-game New York swing at Stony Brook on Monday, Jan. 18. It will be UMBC’s fourth game in seven days and third on the road in this span.  Tip-off time is set for 5:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live by Fox 1370 Sports Radio (www.fox1370.com) with Paul Mittermeier on the call.  The game will be televised live in the Baltimore area by the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network.
     
    RETRIEVER UPDATE:  UMBC had an eleven-point first half lead, but (1-16, 0-4 America East) dropped its seventh straight contest on Saturday, as host Albany edged the Retrievers, 76-69. Sophomore Chauncey Gilliam came within one point of his career high, scoring 21 points vs. the Great Danes. UMBC was outrebounded for the 11th time in the last 12 games (36-20).

    SEAWOLVES’ UPDATE: Stony Brook (11-7, 3-2) won its first three America East games, but have dropped the last two on the road at Binghamton (64-62) and Maine (67-61). Post Dallis Joyner led SBU with 17 points and nine rebounds vs. Maine. Wings Muhammed El-Amin (18.8 ppg) and Bryan Dougher (18.0 ppg) have been dominant in league play, with Dougher hitting 22 of 37 shots (59.5%) from behind the arc in five league games. Stony Brook is 6-1 at home this season.
