RETRIEVER UPDATE: UMBC (1-14 0-2 America East) won several statistical battles, but lost the contest on Tueday, falling at Boston University, 75-63. Led by the first career double-double from sophomore post Jake Wasco (12 pts./13 rebs.), UMBC outscored the Terriers, 36-18, in the paint and outshot the hosts, 43 percent to 39 percent. But the Terriers drained 11 three-point field goals and hit 18 of 23 free throw attempts to hold off a rally.

The Hawks have now dropped 11 straight games. Junior All-Conference guard Joe Zeglinski leads Hartford with 15.5 points per game and has drained 51 three-point field goals on the season.
UP NEXT: UMBC heads to New York for a pair of America East games on Saturday and Monday. They take on Albany (7:00 p.m.) in the former and take on Stony Brook in a 5:00 p.m. start on Martin Luther King Day. That game will be televised in the Baltimore area by the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network.
