UMBC

The UMBC men’s basketball team will play at Rider University in their first appear in ESPNU’s  seventh annual BracketBusters event. The game will take place in Lawrenceville, N.J. on Saturday, Feb. 21 and the game time will be announced at a later date.

As part of the agreement, Rider will play a “return” game at the RAC Arena in November or December of the 2009-10 season.

It will be the tenth meeting between the Broncs and Retrievers, but the first since the 1996-97 season. Both teams were part of the East Coast Conference in the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons. Rider leads the all-time series, 5-4.
