The UMBC men’s basketball team (5-3) travels to Pittsburgh (9-0) to face the third-ranked team in the nation on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers are the highest-ranked team (Associate Press poll) that UMBC has ever faced, surpassing the Retrievers’ 1989-90 meeting with then-No. 4 Kansas (86-67 loss). The game can be heard on the new FOX1370 Sports Radio (www.fox1370.com) with  Paul Mittermeier handling the broadcast. The game will be televised in the region by the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) and is also available on ESPN360.com -- ESPN's signature broadband sports TV network.
