Retriever Men's Basketball Announces Media Plans for 2008-09 Season

—UMBC Director of Athletics Dr. Charles Brown is pleased to announce that a minimum of seven UMBC men’s basketball games will be televised regionally this season on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN), CN8 and Comcast Sports Net Plus.

 

Moreover, Fox 1370 AM Sports Radio will broadcast the entire men’s basketball schedule, beginning with the Saturday, Nov. 15 opener vs. Stevenson University. Paul Mittermeier, Gary Stein and Troy Green comprise UMBC’s veteran broadcast team. The pre-game show gets underway at 25 or 55 minutes after the hour. All games will also be available online at www.fox1370.com. 

 

The new “Randy Monroe UMBC Basketball Show” will air on Fox 1370 each Thursday during the basketball season, beginning on Nov. 13. The show will take place before a live audience at the Sports Zone at the UMBC Commons each Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

 

All of UMBC’s home basketball games and the “Randy Monroe UMBC Basketball Show” will be available live in real time on www.umbcretrievers.tv. Fans can get all of UMBC’s video content on the live streaming site via an All-Access Pass for the low rate of $59.95. That includes all home volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s lacrosse games for the 2008-09 seasons. A radio-style play-by-play is available with each game. Individual games can be purchased for $4.95.
