The men's basketball team will try to keep its home winning streak alive as they play host to America East rival Stony Brook on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the RAC Arena. Tip-off time is 7:06 p.m., with the WVIE (www.v1370.com) pre-game show beginning at 6:55. After a 1-4 start, UMBC has won three straight at home, by a total of nine points. UMBC (9-14, 5-5 America East) is in a fourth-place tie with Maine in the conference. The Retrievers defeated the Seawolves (7-15, 2-8), 72-53, in New York on Jan. 5. Both teams will try to shake off tough losses on Wednesday---UMBC was defeated at Albany, while SBU suffered a heart-breaking 66-65 loss at Binghamton on another league buzzer-beater.
