The men's basketball starts its second "go-around" with its America East Conference foes when the Retrievers welcome Binghamton (9-11, 2-6 America East) to the RAC Arena on Sunday, Jan. 28. Tip-off time is set for 4:00 p.m., with the WVIE (1370 AM, www.v1370.com) coverage beginning at 3:55 p.m..UMBC is 8-13 overall and 4-4 in league play, 2-2 at home and on the road vs. conference rivals. Binghamton leads the series, 4-3, after UMBC came away with a 73-71 win at the BU Events Center on January 3. The three games played between the Bearcats and the Retrievers at the RAC Arena have resulted in a three-point Binghamton win (2004), a two-point UMBC win (2005) and a four-point Retriever triumph (2006).
