UMBC (2-2) and the University of Michigan (6-0) meet in head-to-head competition for the first time in any intercollegiate sport. Moreover, this is believed to be the first time that any Retriever varsity team has competed in the state of Michigan in UMBC’s 40-year history. Seven of UMBC’s next eight games will be on the road, including match-ups with 2006 post-season squads in Michigan, George Washington and Marquette. Michigan will play its seventh consecutive home game vs. UMBC and enter the game with an average margin of victory of 17.8 ppg.
