Men's Basketball to Face Hampton in Pirates' Home Opener on Saturday

The men’s basketball team travels to Hampton, Va. to take on the Pirates of Hampton University on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1:00 p.m. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The game can be heard on the audio link of www.umbcretrievers.com, beginning at 12:55 p.m.
It will be the first home game of the season for the 1-2 Pirates, who have a win over New Orleans, but are coming off a loss at Holy Cross on Wednesday. UMBC, which has struggled from the floor in its losses to St. Peter’s and Loyola, is looking to snap a nine-game road losing streak. Seniors Mike Housman and Chris Pugh lead the Retrievers with 11.5 ppg.
