NO REST FOR THE WEARY--MEN'S BASKETBALL HEADS TO VERMONT FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON MATCH-UP WITH DEFENDING LEAGUE CHAMPS
1/6/2006
Win or lose, don't expect many members of the men's basketball team traveling party to be awake on the Sunday evening flight home from Burlington, Vermont. When UMBC (6-7, 2-0 America East) faces the defending league champion Catamounts on Sunday (1:00 p.m., 12:55 p.m. pre-game show on WLG/umbcretirevers.com), it will be the Retrievers' third game in six days against a tough brand of opponent. Randy Monroe's troops managed to knock off a relentless Navy team, 95-82, on Tuesday, then nipped Boston University, 65-64, in overtime on Thursday. On Sunday, UMBC will face a Catamount (5-6, 1-1 America East) team, stung by a Thursday loss at Stony Brook and undefeated in five games vs. UMBC.
