MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYS AT LONG BEACH STATE ON THURSDAY

The UMBC men's basketball team (4-5) will try to split games in its visit to the Golden State as the Retrievers take on host Long Beach State (2-6) at 10:30 p.m. (EST) on Thursday at the Walter Pyramid. The Retrievers will have to shoot the ball better than the 31.7% they managed in Tuesday's 58-45 loss at San Diego State against the high-scoring 49'ers.
