UMBC

The UMBC men's basketball team will make its second appearance in the America East Conference Men's Basketball Tournament this weekend. UMBC opens the tournament as the ninth-seeded Retrievers (10-17, 5-13 America East) take on the eighth-seeded New Hampshire Wildcats (9-19, 5-13) at 6pm at the Binghamton University Events Center. The game will be broadcast live by ESPN 1300, and can be also accessed via umbcretrievers.com (audio link).

UNH swept a pair of games from UMBC this year, 60-41, in Baltimore on January 2, and 73-64, in Durham, NH on January 29. UMBC debuted in the tournament last year with a 65-59 loss to Stony Brook  The Retrievers were also the #9 seed in last year's tournament.

The winner of the UMBC-UNH game goes on to play #1-seeded Vermont at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
